Kupwara: Former minister and General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adv Abdul Haq Khan, visited Lolab Valley on Sunday day and held a workers’ meeting at Zab Khurhama in Lolab constituency, where a large number of party workers and local residents gathered to participate in the event.
Addressing the gathering, Khan said that the National Conference has failed to fulfill the promises made to the people despite receiving a huge mandate in the elections. He alleged that the government has not been able to effectively address the demands and concerns of the general public.
He further stated that the National Conference government has “completely failed” in redressing public grievances and solving the day-to-day problems faced by the people in different areas, including Lolab.
Khan urged party workers to strengthen the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party at the grassroots level and remain connected with the public. He said that the PDP has always stood with the people and worked for resolving their issues and grievances.
During the meeting, several local residents also shared their problems and concerns with the former minister and sought his intervention for their resolution.
Meanwhile, the local public and party workers warmly welcomed Adv Abdul Haq Khan on his visit to Lolab and expressed hope that their issues would be taken up at the appropriate level.
