Several medical shops inspected by team of officers in Ganderbal

In compliance with the directions passed by Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal on NASHA MUKTH BHARAT ABHIYAN, an inspection of Medical Shops located outside the District Hospital Ganderbal was carried out by a Team of Officers Headed by Assistant Drugs Controller, Ganderbal, Assistant Controller Legal Metrology, Food Safety Officer Ganderbal, Drugs Control Officers Ganderbal, Drugs Control Officer Kangan /Lar & a representative from Revenue department Ganderbal.

A physical audit of NRX drugs and Insulin Syringes were carried out viz a viz Pamphlets displaying a message about the consequences of drug addiction were also checked.

In total 10 shops were inspected and One shop was closed on the spot for not adhering to the conditions of the license. Directions for starting computerized billing and installations of CCTV Cameras wherever required were also passed by Assistant Drugs Controller Ganderbal to retail pharmacies along with displaying Big Banners showing the consequences of drug abuse outside their shops.

Assistant Controller Legal Metrology also gave emphasis on the issuance of Cash memos to every consumer per day viz a viz cross-checking of Batch details with the purchase Bills for the procured items.
