During the visits, students were briefed on the basic working of police stations, including the procedure for lodging an FIR, the investigation process, and the role of police in maintaining law and order, preventing and detecting crime. They were also sensitized about newly introduced criminal laws, legislative provisions for their empowerment, cybercrime awareness, and women’s rights and safety.

Police officers highlighted the crucial role of law enforcement in safeguarding citizens’ rights and ensuring peace and security in society. The awareness visits were conducted at Police Station Kupwara, Karnah, Lalpora, Sogam, Kralpora, Trehgam, and Keran.

Officials emphasized that such interactions aim to bridge the gap between police and the public, strengthen community-police relations, and empower students with knowledge about their rights and responsibilities. Kupwara Police reiterated its commitment to educating youth, fostering trust, and working collectively with the community for a safer and crime-free environment.
