Srinagar : 5th class Kashmiri Sikh girl, a daughter of Police man, brought laurels to Chattrogam village in Tral after securing Gold medal in a state level Thang Ta championship held at Indoor Stadium Polo Ground in Srinagar.
Jasveen Kour, who is studying in 5th grade, makes her family proud as she bagged the Gold medal on Tuesday in the martial art – Thang Ta. After receiving the Gold medal, the whole of Chattrogam village was elated on the feat achieved by the younger daughter of Tral.
With the securing of Gold, Kour has also been selected for the National Level competition where her parents are certain that she would mark her presence with enviable results.
“We are very happy that our daughter has achieved the Gold in Thang Ta. She was always inclined towards sports and today her hard work has fructified. If we will guide our daughters in the right direction with proper support they are sure to make their parents proud,” said her father Jasbir Singh.
Singh is currently serving in the J&K Police department and has been standing firmly beside her daughter to realise his daughter’s dreams. (CNS)
