Unregistered medical shop sealed in Khaitangan Baramulla

Authorities on Tuesday sealed an unlicensed and unregistered medical shop in Khaitangan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a team from Drug Department inspected various medical shops and during the inspection a medical shop was found unregistered and thus sealed on the spot.

According to sources that ‘the medical shop had been sealed several times but was later on allowed to operate the medical shop without any registration/licence.’

The medical shop in question is Wani Medicate near PHC Khaitangan.

DCO Drug Control Department, Gowhar Mushtaq Bhat confirmed that, “the seizure of the medical shop and said the investigation in this regard has been launched also directed the shop owner produce himself before DCO with relevant documents and it is being ascertained on whose directions this medical shop was allowed to operated in the area.”
